Scouts at Trinity on Scout Sunday |
Kids are an important part
of the family at Trinity. Perhaps the most important thing we offer
is a loving environment where they are accepted and cared for, even
when
they're
not being "perfect
little angels." We think that showing them love is an important
part of teaching them about God's love. Here
are some other things we offer:
Childcare
Children are always
welcome in Sunday worship. If parents prefer, young children can go to
childcare just before worship begins or at any time during worship.
Several
of our kids want their families to come to church so that can go to "Miss
Nancy's House" (the Trinity nursery). Then as they get older, they
go to our Sunday morning kids' classes.

Kids' Classes
We offer kids' classes
(sometimes known as "Sunday School") during worship for those
kids who want to go. Children stay in worship
until after the Kids' Message and then leave for their class with their
teacher.. We offer one group for ages 4 to 2nd grade and another
one for
3rd to 6th grade. Middle schoolers and high schoolers stay
in worship the whole time. The middle-schooler class meets between services
(about 10:15 - 11:00) and the high school youth group meets on Thursday
nights. See
the
calendar.

Kids' Message
Being in worship is good for
kids, and it helps if there's something addressed specifically to their
level. In the Kids' Message, that's what children get. They get an easy-to-understand
message that relates to that day's scripture in a format that works for
them. They also see how much the church loves them as worship leaders
focus on them for a few minutes.
Vacation Bible School
(VBS)
Every summer, we have Vacation
Bible School returned to Trinity! Watch for details as we approach
summer. Kids don't have to be part of the
church to come, and it's always fun! (Take
a look at some pictures from 2007's VBS.)

"CrossTrainers"
for Teens
We continue to take care of our kids when they enter middle school
and high school. At that point, they become part of the "CrossTrainers,"
our youth group. Please visit the teen page for
more information on that.
