Debra Johnston explores Luke 1:46-55. “And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden…for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is on those who fear him…to Abraham and to his posterity forever.’”
Mary is confident of God’s ability to save both her and her people. And indeed, salvation through Jesus Christ is the greatest gift God has ever given to humankind. How can ordinary human beings receive that gift today? How can this be your best Christmas ever, regardless of your circumstances?
