Today’s scripture is Ephesians 2:4-10 and James 2:14-20.
In Ephesians 2:8-9, Paul writes, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God - not the result of works, so that no one may boast.” That sounds clear. But then in James 2:24, James writes, “You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.”
Which is it? How can both be correct? How can a Christian deal with a conflict like this in the Bible?
